+ A FEW POSTS BACK TO FRONT (07/01/2009 - 00:32:32)
I asked this wonderful artist called Tali from Jerusalem to do a portrait of my little Daisy.
I LOVE IT!!! The colour of her hair, the almost worried expression on her face. She has totally captured my little Daisy to a "T". Thank-you Tali.
Well I have been a bit all over the place with moving house in June 2008, and have felt a bit like a Jigsaw puzzle thrown in the air. I am still settling in really as I haven't moved for 8 years.
So apologies for the lack of newbie paintings.
I would like to try and spend some more attention to my website, keeping it up to date, adding links and
a little more BLOGGING perhaps.
There are always so many things I want to add but somehow it escapes me. So I am backtracking a bit to add on those little bits of news I want to share with you all.
So here goes...
I have created Xmas Card Designs for Greyhound Rescue West of England the past three years and it is something I thoroughly enjoy doing. I will hopefully continue to do so for as long as I am asked.
My most recent for Xmas 2008 was called "Whoah, these new Reindeer are FAST!" Thank-you GRWE for taking me on board, the publishers (Queen Bee Designs) of the cards do a BRILLIANT JOB, as the cards are super quality. I am quite flattered that the Cards sell out, although this Xmas (just gone) my Mum who I always buy a couple of packs for missed out on them, and therefore her friends were a little upset they didn't get the Elle Wilson GRWE special xmas card this year.
A Distant Thought used for the FRONT COVER of Saluki International. Thank-you so much to Ken Allan for including my work in this publication. Also a credit is due to the model, his name is Najib and I am very grateful for his owner for allowing me to work from her photograph.
I could not resist putting up this sweet little painting which Daisy did yesterday. Painted all by herself. No help from Mummy.
Back in August I visited a shelter for some Galgo's based in the hill's outside of Vic which is about an hour from Barcelona. After a fraught time on motorways heading in the wrong direction we managed to get onto the right road. Many thanks to Jon my partner for braving the Spanish traffic.
The signs were rather misleading and we would see one sign saying Vic pointing one way, and another sign the
complete opposite way.
What about the dogs. Well I have never received such an excited
welcome. Photography is not one of my strong points, so trying to snap
these delightful creatures was not easy as they wanted was to smother
me with licks and frolicks.
Not that ...... HAT again! Designed exclusively for Greyhound Rescue West of England.
